Advertising Disclaimer & Transparency Statement
At Insurance Guide Pro, we believe in complete transparency about how we fund our operations. This page explains our revenue sources, advertising practices, and how they do (and don't) influence our content.
How We Make Money
Insurance Guide Pro is a free resource supported by two primary revenue streams:
Display Advertising (Google AdSense)
We display contextual advertisements via Google AdSense. Ads are automatically matched to our content and your browsing history by Google's algorithms.
- We do not select individual advertisers
- Ad revenue is based on impressions and clicks
- Ads are clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Ad"
Affiliate Partnerships
We partner with licensed insurance marketplaces and comparison platforms. When you click "Get Quotes" links and purchase a policy, we may earn a commission.
- No cost to you — commissions paid by partners
- Partners are vetted, licensed entities
- Affiliate links marked with disclosure
Editorial Independence — Our Promise
Revenue never influences our editorial decisions.
Our editorial and business teams operate independently. Writers and editors do not know which companies are advertising or which affiliate partners are active. We never:
- Accept payment for favorable coverage or reviews
- Allow advertisers to review or approve content before publication
- Rank or recommend companies based on advertising relationships
- Suppress negative information about advertisers or partners
Google AdSense Details
We participate in the Google AdSense program. Key points:
- Publisher ID: ca-pub-9759643395028121
- Ad Placement: Header, in-article, sidebar (desktop), footer — all clearly labeled
- Auto Ads: Enabled as fallback for optimal fill rates
- Personalized Ads: Google may use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your interests
- Opt-Out: Visit Google Ads Settings to opt out of personalized ads
- EU/UK Consent: We use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) for GDPR compliance — manage preferences via our cookie banner
Affiliate Relationship Details
We work with select licensed insurance comparison platforms and marketplaces. Current and potential partners include:
- Licensed insurance agencies and brokers
- Insurance comparison marketplaces
- Direct-to-consumer insurance carriers
Disclosure on Affiliate Links: Links that may generate a commission are accompanied by a disclosure such as: "We may earn a commission if you purchase through this link, at no additional cost to you."
Partner Vetting: We only partner with entities that are:
- Properly licensed in the states they operate
- In good standing with state insurance departments
- Transparent about their own compensation structures
What We Don't Do
Regulatory Compliance
- FTC Endorsement Guides: We comply with FTC requirements for affiliate disclosures.
- State Insurance Laws: We do not act as an insurance producer; we provide educational content only.
- Google AdSense Policies: Our ad implementation follows all program policies.
- GDPR/ePrivacy: Consent for advertising cookies obtained via CMP.
